Higher values create sharper and clearer edges, but with more distortion.

  • Control: transforms the image to different degrees.
  • Accuracy creates smoother (at low values for this setting) versus more precise approximations of the original image (higher values).
  • Texture/Accuracy: texture sharpens the resized image.
  • Denoise/Reduce Artifacts: reduces noise and smooths out the image.
  • Crop: allows the original image to be cropped.
  • The value here reflects both changes in width/height and the resolution of the resized image.
  • Pixel Dimensions: displays the total pixel size of the image (total over RGB channels).
  • What am I doing bad? My aim is to apply a strong depth of field, just in case. Here is a short overview of the Reshade User Interface: Than I went again on mediator and click update, Apply, launch the game (hail mediator!) and no visual changes. Than I went inside Sekta folder (inside the preset folder), and edited the McFX (master effect?), copy-pasting KingArturia settings. I still have the hail message topleft, and a copyright something in the middle of my display. Mediator says (upper box) that the preset is loaded, but once I'm in game, no clue if it works. I than select Sekta preset from the Mediator, to the right. Than I downloaded Sekta profile from Reshade, and installed the folder (putting it inside the preset). The mediator "greets" me ingame, said it's working, and obviously no changes has still I have not edited the profile. After I chose ESO client on the Mediator I than make a new profile and test it. I tried several time exactly in this way. Reshade uses shaders from Sweetfx, Gemfx, Mcfx and Customfx so you can use any you like and it's in a nice GUI for easy use. Instead just choose your program (eso.exe), make a profile and the program will just use a shortcut placed in ESO directory to the proper shaders in Reshades folders.

dll files directly to the ESO folders and may cause anti-cheat error 16 messages from eso crash detector. One thing I did learn is not to press the "Permanently push this profile to program" button while using the Mediator program, as that will place the. I'll tell you how I got mine to work easily and without having to permanently place any files in the ESO folder. Took awhile to make it just how I like it. Hope you like the Custom Mastereffects settings I'm using.

I copy-pasted yours entirely but it didn't work. I was able to apply your mastereffect settings, but I can't find a sweet fx settings file that looks like yours. Change the settings around that you want. C: > The Elder Scrolls Online > Game > Client and ta-da. Put them all in your client folder, for ESO.

So, with all that out of the way, can anyone provide instructions, or a link to them? much appreciatedĭownload reshade, download sweetFX, download mastereffects. Last I tried 2 months ago, SweetFX gave me a hell of a headache (following what were then outdated tutorials), and in the end, I got the errors to stop happening, but then it wouldn't apply any of the settings I was using.

Hate to be "that" guy, but I can't seem to find any up to date/recent instructions on how to get ReShade+MasterEffect to work with ESO.

Good to hear! Glad you finally figured it out If you do not push that button then the Mediator program simply installs a shortcut link to the shaders which are stored in it's own folders outside of the ESO folders.

Doing so will install the dxgi/shader files into the client folder which apparently ESO's anti cheat code will flag and prevent the game from starting (on my machine and not others apparently) The key was while I am in the Mediator program to NOT push the "permanent push to application" button. Goodluck and hope you manage to get it working! Np, If I think of a way to help more in the future, i will. On a day when I have more patience I may try again, but I don't want to spend all day trying to get this work. I have no problem using it for GW2 or LotRO but ESO causes problems. I've been through this before several months ago and it was hours of troubleshooting that got nowhere. Go to your usersettings go to - SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9" to SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D11" I'm sure if I switched to DX 9 it would work, but there is something about my system and DX11+ESO+sweetfx that just doesn't jive. Shut off Shadowplay to make sure it was not interfering as the instructions suggest but no dice. I chose DX11, set up an ESO profile and checked the \client folder and the dxgi folder was there. I just used the Reshade program called "Mediator".
